•  Creating the best Apps for Essent and Energiedirect that ensures convenient access to all smart energy solutions
• Making impact by indirectly helping customers in making decisions about their energy use.
• Trouble shooting in case of incidents 

The teams are really involved the product vision and execute ideas. Each developer plays a key role. Within Essent we have two different opportunities open at this moment: 

• One vacancy in the I Interact Agile Release Train. This Agile Release Train consists of a team of teams of 60 colleagues. We contribute to the energy transition by providing a smooth and personalized experience across our different contact channels. The Mobile Apps Team consists of 8 highly skilled and motivated people. The team empower our customers to move towards smart energy management. By creating an app that ensures convenient access to all smart energy solutions at your fingertips.
• And we have one vacancy in the Smart Charging team. Our purpose is to help our customers in the energy transition by optimizing their energy consumption. We make sure customer’s steerable assets (electric vehicles, home batteries, heat pumps, solar panels, etc) work together in an efficient manner to reduce energy consumption and balance the energy grid. The team owns 1) a part of Essent’s mobile application; 2) an AWS cloud native serverless backend that integrates with the app; 3) integrations with third party companies. As a member of the team you will focus primarily on the mobile application development, but we also expect you to be able to do some work in the backend.

• Proficiency in the English language, with good verbal and written communication skill
• Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and React fundamentals
• Experience developing mobile applications with React Native framework
• Familiarity with Git for version control and collaboration
• Experience working with REST APIs to consume backend services
• Proficiency in testing frameworks such as Jest, testing-library, and Maestro.
• Understanding of Gitlab CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments.
• Knowledge of mobile app development processes and lifecycles.
• Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and mobile design patterns
