Electrical Engineer (Offshore Wind)

Taylor Hopkinson is working with a well know energy developer in the Netherlands to appoint an Offshore Wind Electrical Engineer as they expand their portfolio of existing operational offshore wind farms.

Working as part of the Offshore Asset Management & Operations team, this role is responsible for ensuring offshore electrical installations are in optimal condition and performing to the highest level. This will include planning, organising and co-ordinating maintenance and repair work across a range of electrical disciplines.

This role is a full time, staff role based just outside Amsterdam and requires regular offshore presence.

Role:

• Co-ordination between the external contacts and the offshore wind team including contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Organisation of the projects, such as the preparation of the detailed implementation methods and for the inspections of high-voltage installations.
• Providing advice regarding maintenance repairs, overhauls and fault diagnosis.
• Supervision of offshore work, overhauling of electrical diagrams and preparation of electrical work plans.
• Continuous contribution to the continuous improvement of the Offshore Wind department.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical subject (for example electrical engineering).
• Experience in the field of high and low voltage electrical engineering.
• Experience with Asset Management Systems or motivation to learn.
• Willing and able to work offshore on a regular basis.
• Ability to interpret complex information and communicate informed decisions.
• Be a team player with an excellent attitude to work.
