Or how offshore rigs detect critical issues before they escalate? That’s edge computing at work — and at Helin, that’s exactly what you’ll be supporting.
Instead of sending raw data to the cloud and waiting for a response, our edge platforms process information right where it’s generated — whether it’s a vessel in the North Sea or a solar farm in Germany. That means faster decisions, cost savings, and real-time insights when they matter most.
We’re scaling fast. Our platforms power safety, compliance, and sustainability for companies like Boskalis. That’s where you come in. As our new Support Engineer, you’ll make sure things run smoothly, even when no one’s watching. You’ll handle incidents before they escalate, help customers get the best out of our tools, and make engineers’ lives easier by owning the repeatables.
What you’ll do
- Respond quickly to incidents, resolve issues, and handle system changes across edge platforms
- Lead post-mortems, identify root causes, and track incident patterns
- Define and document scalable operational processes
- Guide customers through new features and tools
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams for escalations and feedback loops
Qualifications
- Experience using monitoring tools like Grafana, operating systems like Linux, and basic networking tools
- Clear and confident communication with customers and teammates
- A drive to simplify complexity and own tasks from start to finish
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations to support 24/7 availability
Bonus if you have
- Python scripting for small automation projects
- Experience supporting edge or real-time systems
- Familiarity with tools like Zendesk or other support platforms

- Helin Edge Platform: Real-time data and alerts for clients like Boskalis
- Smart Grid Manager: Energy orchestration for wind and solar
- Red Zone Manager: Safety systems for offshore operations
- CCTV manager: Real-time closed-circuit TV monitoring on oil rigs
- Luffing rope system: Real-time safety monitoring of crane systems on oil rigs
Your team
- You’ll work closely with experienced colleagues
- Our handovers with engineering are tight—collaboration is key
