You have strong strategic, analytical and communication skills and want to make a real impact in the energy transition
-
You are driven and you have an enthusiastic, positive attitude
-
You have a clear vision and are committed to what Eneco stands for
The energy transition is in full swing and Eneco is leading the way. Our goal? To be fully climate-neutral by 2035. This applies to our own business activities, but also to the energy we supply to our customers. We develop our own wind and solar parks and help customers take sustainable steps every day with smart products and good advice. Do you want to help shape a sustainable future? Then we’re looking for you!
Working for Eneco as a Senior Strategy Advisor means you will be in a position in which you help to determine Eneco’s course. You’ll be challenged both from an organisational and intellectual perspective to identify opportunities, create and implement strategies. In this way, you’ll be making a contribution to a sustainable future.
In an energy market that is undergoing radical changes, Eneco is an innovative frontrunner. Innovation, new markets and services, international growth and partnerships with start-ups are an essential part of its strategy. This means Eneco is facing enormous changes in both the short and long term, which the Strategy team helps to navigate.
You will be part of the Strategy & Growth team, a small group of experienced internal consultants who advise the Management teams, Directors, and Management Board of Eneco. As part of the Strategy team, you also work closely with the Strategic Change and Sustainability teams.
As Strategy Analyst you are responsible for analysing complex, relevant problems as part of a project team. You perform research, build (financial) models, develop clear reporting and compelling presentations, and directly contribute to the development of strategies and advice to Eneco management. You are coached by experienced members of the Strategy team to grow as a strategic advisor, and develop a broad set of consulting skills.
We work together as one team to deliver the plan. In doing so, you are proactive in helping others to accelerate the energy transition. You create an environment where people can exchange insights and opinions, and you take responsibility for contributing to the joint plan. In addition, you have the following qualities:
- Completed an MSc or MA at university level, with excellent results
- 1-2 year work experience. Experience in strategy consulting, for example through an internship or being a working student, is a big advantage
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to independently solve problems, and (some) experience in financial modelling
- Top communication skills in written and spoken word, and (some) experience in developing compelling presentations
- Organisational sensitivity, persuasiveness, execution power and interpersonal skills, with the belief that impact only lasts if achieved together
- Passion for the energy transition and preferably experience in the energy sector
Full professional proficiency in English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus
As part of the Strategy team you will:
- Define Eneco’s strategic objectives, including steering and monitoring in collaboration with colleagues
- Work on impactful, highly strategic projects across Eneco’s businesses and geographies, incl. developing growth strategies, driving innovation, and assessing macro-economic impacts on Eneco
- Conduct market analyses, identify new opportunities, evaluate business cases, build financial models, design actionable strategies, manage improvement projects and oversee their implementation
Provide advice to Management Teams, Business Unit Directors and the Management Board
