Observability Data Engineer
Engineering insights is a new platform team within our Empower Agile Release Train. The purpose of this team is to develop a platform that enables development teams to get a holistic view about their applications and developer performance.
Only together we can take the next step in energy. As a Observability Data Engineer, you are the expert in your field in:
- Developing and maintaining an insights platform for developers
- Creating realtime dashboards
- Creating data integrations
- Creating underlying data pipelines in AWS
- Creating building blocks / reusable assets for development teams
- Documenting the way-of-working in our developer portal

Those insights include: observability metrics, logs and tracing, lifecycle management, DORA metrics, application health status, cost and technical debt. Engineering insights is a new platform team in this ART. A team with an entrepreneurial drive as we build the solution from scratch and they closely collaborate with the DevOps Teams within Essent.”

- Proficiency in the English language, with good verbal and written communication skill
- Experience realtime dashboards
- Strong understanding of data pipelines in AWS
- Understanding of Gitlab CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments.
- Knowledge of developing and maintaining an insights platform for developers
- Are experienced with Infrastructure as Code frameworks such as Terraform, Cloud formation
- Have experience with Splunk, AWS Lambda and Python
