As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in aligning IT capabilities with business objectives across the organization, ensuring we continue to meet our strategic goals and deliver value to our customers and stakeholders.
You will work together with:
A diverse group of stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and drive our strategic initiatives forward. You will partner with our IT Management Team and Business Owners to synchronize IT strategy with business objectives, ensuring robust and scalable solutions .
In addition, you will collaborate with System Architects to ensure system designs and implementations align with our overarching architectural principles and strategies. Engaging with Business owners, Epic owners, and Product managers within our BVK (”Beheer- en VerbeterKeten”) teams, you will prioritize and align business capabilities and IT solutions. Coordination with Solution Managers will be essential to integrate business requirements with technical solutions, ensuring comprehensive and effective system development as part of our overall Business Architecture. Furthermore, you will liaise with Portfolio Managers to align architectural initiatives with portfolio management, ensuring strategic projects are prioritized and supported effectively.
Job Description
How you will tackle this challenge:
As an Enterprise Architect at Enexis, you will gain an overarching perspective of our organization from a business capabilities standpoint, enabled by our Enterprise Architecture. You will guide our organization with reference architecture and architectural guidelines, ensuring we stay on course with our strategic goals.
Working within the energy sector’s business capabilities framework, which forms the foundation of our Business Architecture, you will organize Enterprise Architecture to effectively support our business processes. Your role will involve developing and implementing our target architecture by envisioning, communicating, and evolving our reference architecture. Acting at a strategic level, you will focus on long-term enterprise-wide alignment.
Furthermore, you will align the IT architecture with the business strategy, defining applications based on business needs and the external environment. You’ll establish architecture principles and provide strategic technical directions, guiding teams towards the target architecture in close collaboration with system architects and solution managers. Ensuring an enterprise-wide target architecture is in place to support strategic business cases, aligned with prioritized themes, will be one of your key responsibilities. Additionally, you will synchronize architecture across teams, maintaining consistency and coherence throughout the organization.
Your Role Includes:
- Develop and Implement Target Architecture: You will envision, communicate, and evolve our reference architecture. You Operate at a strategic level and focus on long-term enterprise-wide alignment.
- Align IT with Business Strategy: You define applications based on business needs and the external environment.
- Establish Architecture Principles: You set foundational guidelines for architectural decisions.
- Strategic Technical Directions: You provide guidance to teams towards the target architecture and collaborate closely with system architects and solution managers. In this role you ensure an enterprise-wide target architecture is in place to support strategic business cases, aligned with prioritized themes.
- Synchronize Architecture: you are responsible for harmonizing architecture across various business units (BVKs).
Next to the joint Enterprise Architecture responsibilities, as Lead Architect, you will play a role to make the next steps in our Architecture maturity, by:
- Leading functionally and mentoring the (Enterprise and System) Architecture team, fostering professional development and improving architecture practices
- Positioning Enterprise Architecture in strategic setting stronger (which has a direct link with our portfolio management)
Job Requirements
Job Requirments:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in enterprise architecture, with a strong background in IT strategy and business alignment.
- Skills:
- Proven experience in developing and implementing enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Strong understanding of business processes and capability modeling.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of architects.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in enterprise architecture.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, or similar are preferred.
- Personal Attributes:
- Proactive and self-motivated.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.

- Salary between € 6.486,- and € 9.265,- gross per month (based on a 40-hour work week). Including secondary benefits, your salary can rise to € 11.924,-,- gross per month.

- Personal budget of 10% and a 13th-month salary of 10.7% of your gross annual salary. You can use this budget flexibly or have it paid out monthly or annually.
- 24.5 vacation days for a full-time employment. Need more recharging time? With your personal budget and 13th-month salary, you can buy up to 35.5 additional leave days.
