Key Technology BV is the manufacturer of optical inspection, transport and sorting machines for the food industry. We also say; If Key can’t do it, nobody can! Our goal is to be the ultimate partner in the food processing industry.

We serve customers throughout the EMEA/ASIA market (Europe/Middle East/Africa and Asia). Key Technology BV is based in Beusichem (NL) and has sister companies in Hasselt (BE) and Walla Walla (USA), all part of the Duravant Group.

The role

In this position, you will have both technical and commercial responsibilities and will work closely with the Area Sales Managers. You will act as the linchpin between various internal departments. You understand the needs of the customer and answer their questions with tailored advice.

With your excellent communication skills and customer-focused, solution-oriented approach, you will work with the Area Sales Manager to manage all expectations, ensuring that the quotation is converted into an order to everyone’s satisfaction.

Your tasks

• Translating the needs of existing and potential customers into technical solutions.
• Drawing up technical descriptions and, if necessary, drawings of machines and systems for the purpose of making calculations and quotations.
• Ensuring optimal order processing.

To be able to perform your tasks well, we are looking for someone with the following characteristics:

• You have good communication skills.
• You are able to translate relevant information to internal and external customers. You have a solution-oriented approach.
• You are results-oriented and motivated to achieve departmental and company objectives together with the team.
• You have an eye for detail and are analytically minded.
• You are creative and come up with out-of-the-box solutions.
• You are willing to travel for work at customer locations (EMEA area).

Do you have the following qualifications and skills:

• Completed MBO education in technology and we will teach you the ropes.
• Experience with a technical work environment.

Furthermore, you have knowledge of:

• Microsoft Office package, in particular Word, Excel and Teams.
• 3D drawing package, Solid Works is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English, both spoken and written, is a requirement for this position; a third language is an advantage.
• Knowledge of machines, such as vibratory conveyor and belt conveyor systems and/or optical inspection equipment, is desirable.

• The starting salary is €3,000, depending on your education and any experience.
• After a minimum of six months of training under the supervision of an experienced sales engineer, there are opportunities to work from home, for which we will provide a functional home office.
• In consultation, there is the possibility of a shadow day in the department as part of the application procedure.
• A working week of 32 to 39 hours.
• You will receive 25 days of holiday leave, and with full-time employment, you will also accrue 6.5 days of ADV (reduction in working hours) that you can arrange yourself (just like your holiday leave).
• Travel allowance of £0.23 per kilometre.
• 13.7% holiday pay instead of the usual 8%.
• Company fitness allowance.
• Key Technology is covered by the collective labour agreement for metalworking companies and is therefore affiliated with the Metal and Technology pension fund.
• For every new employee we hire, we donate an amount to charity.
