Job Purpose
An IT Support Engineer is responsible for maintaining high level of user acceptance and utilization of Murata’s work environment. They are the primary contact person for users who require knowledge and support on topics related to his or her working environment (hardware and system software).
Responsibilites and Tasks
- Provide fast and effective resolution to issues and/or user complaints on Murata infrastructure
- Identify the root causes of errors, escalating serious concerns and/or unknown problems to other Support Engineers, related third parties or management
- Be able to provide solutions to keep a high level of availablity for users
- Adopt processes to track and maintain high user satisfaction
- Create and maintain effective and high quality documentation of processes
- Support users in their work environment by conducting user trainings, writing and editing training manuals, and gaining feedback from users to improve training methods
- Proactively support reduction of infrastructure issues by analyzing common complaints and problems reported by users and formulate solutions together with the management
Required Knowledge/Experience
- Completed vocational training Information / Communications technology or higher
- Min. 2 years experience in User Support role
- Technically proficient
- Effective communication skills
- Effective at problem solving
- Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
